At First Baptist Church, we don't want members just for the
sake of having or to inflate our membership numbers.
It is our vision to see every member become an
active and vital part of this ministry.

What is Membership?
There is much misunderstanding around what it means to be a member of a church. Here's what membership is not: Church membership is not some kind of spiritual elite club within the church. It's not like a store membership that you pay monthly dues into. Your membership status does not make you better than anyone else and it certainly does not get you into heaven.
What Membership Is: Really, church membership is a responsibility, a recognition and endorsement from the church concerning the validity of your faith in Christ. When ones enters into membership they are communicating their commitment to this body of believers. According to the Bible, church membership is a commitment every Christian should make to attend, love, serve, and submit to a local church.

How Can I Become A Member?
One enters into membership at FBC by first completing a ten session membership class which is designed to introduce you to what membership at FBC is all about. The membership class is offered a few times each year or can be completed any time through "Membership Online". The second part of the class we call the "Membership Interview" which completed in person by meeting with us to talk through your story of faith. After the leadership has agreed to corporately affirm your fitness for membership, we will have you share your testimony with the congregation and formally make a motion to accept you into membership!
