I. What does it mean to have no other gods before us? God wants to have the same place in your heart that he has in the universe. 1. II. Why does God command exclusive worship of Himself alone? 1. God’s character demands exclusive worship of God. (Colossians 1:15-16) 2. Our welfare demands exclusive worship of God. (Psalm 115:3-8)
III. How can we honor God as God? (Practically) 1. Recognize God for who He is. 2. Recognize yourself for who you are. 3. Accept the free gift of new birth.
