When someone says the word “testimony” usually we think of those stories which tell of being saved from a life of crime, addiction, and drugs. Maybe that is your background but your testimony is so much more than hitting rock bottom and coming back up. Your testimony is not the story of what you did for yourself, but what God did for you. He saved you not by any work of your own, but by grace, through faith, in Christ alone.
In this series we will study the salvation stories in scripture: the Philippian jailer, the man born blind, the woman at the well, the Apostle Paul, the Ethiopian treasurer and a few others. These are not just storybook characters; they are historical figures who tell us their story of redemption. Most importantly they show us what true salvation is.
As a church, over the next seven weeks we will also be telling our stories of the grace that is greater than all our sin and give God the glory for His marvelous work of salvation.
